Web Promotion Tips For 2008

2008 is nearly upon us and it is time to start thinking about our web promotion strategy for the coming year. With paid links all but wiped out it is now becoming harder to reach the top of the major search engines. This however should be seen as a positive as it means that the average man on the street who does not have a sack full of money is able to compete with the big boys. In this article I will be writing about the ways in which I will be promoting my own websites in 2008.

I am a massive fan of article marketing. I have seen some extremely positive results from this form of web promotion and really believe that the power of writing articles is going to become even greater in the long term. The one way backward links that it can provide are invaluable especially now that they are so hard to come buy. Search engines such as Google can not accuse you of buying these links and therefore you are in no danger of having any form of penalty.

I have to admit that I used to find it extremely frustrating when I was aware that people could go and purchase a pr7 link on eBay for quite a reasonable fee. I would then see that site shoot to the top of the rankings on the back of that and no doubt other similar purchases. There was I working very hard via writing good quality articles, feeding the net as I call it, and even though the rewards were there it was by no means as quick and easy as buying the backward links. I have to say that I was at one stage quite tempted to buy the odd link.

I am now very grateful that purchasing, lets say a pr7 link, has been outlawed, people may get away with it in the short term but over a longer period will no doubt get found out.

My advice for 2008 is write, write and write again. Yes that's right; it is time to start pounding out some good quality original articles.
